Just seeing if this works. I made a slideshow of belly shots from 16 weeks on:

So tired today. It's the last day of LCG before the holidays and I'm truly ready for the break. My classroom kids are wonderful, and I enjoy them, but the week flies by so quickly, and I feel like I've been teaching back to back classes with little or no preparation (which totally isn't the case, just my perception). Thursday is our last Girl Scout meeting before January as well.

Tomorrow we're going ice skating again. Eldest is all about ice skating, having gone twice in the last three weeks, and she can't wait to go again. She's really very good at it, but I'm not surprised. She spent every free moment this summer rollerblading.

Middle Boy had some serious dental work done yesterday, and apparently all the trouble we went through to get him an appointment with nitrous gas was for nothing. He's claiming it didn't work at all and the dentist admitted that he didn't relax until the very end. Still, he got a silver crown on one severely decayed baby tooth (and OMG, he's in love with it!) and got another tooth sealed, so it wasn't a totally wasted effort. They think he'll need about 4 more appointments.

They sent him home with a HUGE box of duplo blocks from under the "Christmas tree". As they were going in back, the dentist asked me if we celebrate Christmas and I said yes, thinking it was easier than explaining that we actually celebrate Solstice, and apparently that meant he got to pick something out from under the tree. I tossed about half the blocks (there were other dirty toys mixed in at the bottom), but washed the rest and the kids have been playing with them non-stop since we brought them home. Go figure.

Squidbaby has been moving around like crazy lately. Very, very kicky lately. And I'm feeling much better all around now that my schedule has slowed down considerably. I'm no longer out of breath every time I take the stairs.

Okay, off to gather teacher gifts and get the youngsters rounded up.

So I'm finally starting a pregnancy journal, at what? 34 weeks? Never say that I don't procrastinate spectacularly.

Right. So. Little squidbaby has definitely settled in head down. There's one foot sticking up at the top of my belly, just to the right, at all times now. Except when it's kicking me. This one is such a wiggly baby.

I'm liking the movement a lot more than any other pregnancy though. To be honest, I was always a bit squicked about the baby moving inside me. This time, though, after being so entirely sure I was done having babies, I'm loving the feel of little feet and elbows and... almost everything. (I could do without the headbutting of my bladder.)

The one thing I'm not digging is the allergy-induced asthma attacks. I don't have asthma normally, but my allergies are ridiculously sensitive when I'm pregnant. The other day we spent an hour and a half at a friend's birthday party in a house that has a cat. My usual cat allergy turned into a full blown asthma attack and I was up most of the night coughing and wheezing and generally just wishing I could draw a breath. Much better tonight.

Though tomorrow won't be if I don't get some sleep soon. 9 am dentist appointment to put the boy under nitrous gas and get some heavy duty dental work done.
